Who wrote that poem about our blog?

Very Big Week

Well, Friday was my last day of work. All my co-workers were incredible and I had a BUNCH of parties and activities going on all week. I got a $150.00 American Express gift card from the office so I bought a Brighton watch for my keepsake from them. It is awesome.

Today, was the last time I taught my Laurel class, I also spoke in Sacrament meeting the Kyle played the piano in our old Silver Creek ward. He, of course, did a great job and then Bishop Schilhabel had him play for the closing song also. It was awesome. We have had some great experiences here. So many people love us and care about us.

Tomorrow we will get the house all ready for the packers to come in on Tuesday -- I have dibzed the morning for Blake and Kyle to help with some things -- that could be a miracle. Wednesday the packers pack the truck then Wednesday night is graduation. Everyone will go out to dinner.

I can't wait to see Grant (and I guess Emily and Spencer) when the make their way up from Southern CA. Hurry up, hurry up, hurry up.

I am anxious to be better about participating in this blog and adding pictures etc., when we get settled in Boise. Thanks again Emily for getting this going. I think we have just been a little distracted. -- Mom

Mail is so fun.

I got two cool things in the mail this week:

Kyle's graduation announcement! Yeay! Kyle, your picture is soooo cute. Did mom make those announcements? They look great!

Mason sent me a children's book for Mother's Day called "What Mom's Can't Do". I LOVE it. I can't wait the read the grandma version. Thanks, Mase.

It is sad that email is replacing hand-written letters, but when you get some fun mail, it is SO GOOD.

What's the latest 'fun' mail you've gotten?

Where my peeps at?

Mason, you are hilarious... good luck on your games. We can't wait to come to one. Probably after we get back from California. Are you still with Kara? My friend wants to fix her up with her sister-in-law.
P.S. Why is everyone blog-shy?

Mom, your hair is awesome in this picture. "shut up!" (that's what she thought after reading that)

Pitching Debut

(Mason throws a billion strikes) photo by: mason

Baseball, for most, is regarded as the most amazing sport in all of eternity. A pitcher has a huge responsibility of leading his team to victory. A pitcher must "Clear the Mechanism" before every pitch, to ensure his teams' victory.
Mason, the closer for the Wildcats came into the game in the late 4th inning, with the team behind 7-2. He walked his first batter and ended up picking him off for the first out. A line drive shot back at Mason's leg was the second out and Mason followed by striking out his next 4 batters. The Wildcats came back in the bottom of the 5th to lead the Wolverines 8-7 going into the bottom of the 6th. And because he was FREAKING TICKED OFF for no specific reason, he beaned the first batter of the 6th and struck out the next two. With a runner on 3rd and the game on the line, the last hitter for the Wolverines popped one up to center, ending the game. Wildcats over Wolverines 8-7.

Here is what mom said:

Only 16 days until Kyle graduates from High School. Be watching for his announcements and a picture soon.

We got the new Michael Buble CD--it is awesome, especially the songs that he wrote himself. If you download, our favorite is #9 "Everything".

I had a great Mother's Day. Everyone was really thoughtful and creative. The present from Spencer was especially a treat...he phoned into a restaurant here and had Kyle pick it up so that dinner was all ready when I got home from work. AWESOME! Thank you everyone for the bracelet & "Grandma" book (Mason). The apron and flips (Emily) and the outing to Chuys (Blake & Kyle) you are all freakin' tight!
